![]() Yup but when the game was first released or to someone completely new to the game that isn't immediately obvious. Thankfully it's just the Storyteller and thankfully his stories are for the most part interesting enough reads if you power through them. And it was especially terrible with the dumb backer created "characters" until they patched things to let you know they were nothing more than window dressing. Well at least Owlcat managed to mostly isolate it to one character, with Pillars of Eternity (especially the first one) just about every character dumped wall after wall on text on the player. They don't just belch a giant ass block of continuous text on your lap. Minagho, Areelu, Nocticula, the Hand of the Inheritor, Nenio all go on long monologues too at times, but the delivery is completely different. It's not like he has a monopoly on having a ton to say. More paragraph breaks, a little voice work thrown in, something. I mean we all get that he's the Storyteller, that's his gimmick but holy cow at least make it more readable. It wouldn't have been so bad if they just didn't bombard you with absolute solid walls of text. Reddit's Rules of Order The entirety of the rules of Reddit still apply here.
